Cross Laminated Timber (CLT)
CLT is a solid wood construction material consisting of several single-bonded-layer panels arranged at right angles to each other. CLT offers many advantages over conventional building materials. CLT’s excellent structural properties provide a wide range of benefits including improved insulation, optimal air humidity, soundproofing, excellent fire protection, high load bearing capacity and earthquake-proof construction.
Assembly times are fast, safe and dry. Precise computer numerical control (CNC) driven production methods enable a variety of innovative design solutions. CLT can be successfully used for all building types, in particular in residential and communal buildings as well as for schools and hotels. CLT is also used in combination with glulam timber as a hybrid construction.
